While we’ve been practicing social distancing from people we’re becoming closer than ever with our televisions and we couldn’t help but notice the amount of Matthew McConaughey movies that are currently streaming. It’s no secret that the ATXGossip team is a big fan of Mr. Texas, so we thought we’d share our love by sharing some of our favorite movies.

Welcome to Matthew McConaughey Mondays.

The first movie on our list is from Matthew’s rom-com days. While the movie isn’t quite Oscar worthy, it’s charming in a way only McConaughey can be.

Failure To Launch (2006)
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bradley Cooper, Zooey Deschanel, and Kathy Bates.
Synopsis: Tripp (McConaughey), a 35-year-old professional layabout, is happy to stay at home where he’s waited on hand and foot by his mom (Bates). However, she and her husband have had enough and decide that to get him to leave. So, they hire Paula (Parker) who will use her feminine wiles to lever him out of the family home.
