Matthew McConaughey admits he’s not sure movie theaters will return to where they were before the pandemic.

In an interview with Dallas/ Fort Worth psychic medium Michelle Welch for her SoulWhat podcast, McConaughey speculated about where the movie industry will be a year from now.

Here’s what he had to say:

“We’re going to see what the future of the theater is. Are we going to have a future where you… can go out to the theater three nights a week again? I don’t know. We’re gonna want content. Where you’re going to digest that content in the future, I’m not sure. Is it going to be at home like the Warner Brothers did with HBO Max, which they’re simultaneously putting things out in theaters and on HBO Max in your home? Is that where it’s going? I’m not sure. But our industry is measuring that right now.”
