Jo (Johanna) Placencio is a Texas girl through-and-through. She was born in West Colombia, Texas and then first moved to Houston before deciding to call Austin home. The goal of her lifestyle blog Peace Love Glam is to inspire, motivate and help as many women as possible.
“Helping others to see their own beauty and become the best version of themselves is so very gratifying to me. It provides me a lot of happiness to know that I’m helping others especially when they contact me and let me know how much my IG and blog posts inspire and help them,” she told ATXgossip.
Jo’s most recent venture with her friend Angie Hejl is #Glam_Soiree. Every other month they dress up and sit down to converse and share their intentions. They empower and lift each other up while focusing on building a sisterhood.

What advice do you have for Austinites looking to be successful in social media?
Stay true to who you are, have fun, work on building a community and engage with that community. Remember, they (followers) are taking the time out of their busy lives to come to your page so we should show them our appreciation by acknowledging them and engaging with them. Lastly,we should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS BE A KIND AND LOVING HUMAN BEING.
