Austin actor Danny Trevino has a small role in Wednesday’s episode of Revolution on NBC.

Judging from the fact that he made the promo, we’re guessing he’ll get some quality face time in the episode.

Here’s what Trevino had to say about working on the Austin shot series as well as a new Robert Rodriguez project and getting his start on Varsity Blues

What was it like being a part of NBC’s Revolution?

It was an eye opening experience! It was the first time I had worked on a TV show with that big of a budget.  I was on the set for only four days and the cast and crew were amazing! I had a small part but loved every minute I was there. There will be a lot of local Austin talent featured on the show. It was fun seeing so many friends on set.

What other projects are you working on?

I am currently working on the TV show From Dusk Till Dawn. It is the new TV series from Austin’s super director Robert Rodriguez. I really can’t say much about the project but it is going to be AMAZING!. Thank you Mr. Rodriguez for bringing acting jobs to Austin, TX!  We all really appreciate it! I will be seen in 2014 feature films 2 and Twenty-Six (director Edward St. Joseph) and The Bag Lady (director Ericka Marsalis-LaManna).  I have also been cast in the short film Sergio’s Ride (director Brian Burns) and the web series Westish (director Grayson Berry).

What’s your favorite acting job you’ve ever done?

Every acting job you get is fun! I mean seriously…you get paid to pretend you are someone else! Some of my favorites have been Generation Me, where I play a wanna be UFC fighter who has never been in a fight, and 2 and Twenty-Six, where I play hot head detective Jesse Guerrero.

How long have you been acting in Austin?

The very first film I ever worked on was the 1999 classic Varsity Blues. It gave me my very first film experience.  I saw myself on the big screen and I was hooked!  I took a six year break from acting to be a radio DJ and I just returned in 2012. I don’t plan on looking back.

What advice do you have for Austinites looking to get into acting?

Be nice to people,  be prepared, don’t burn bridges and don’t be late.  This is the same advice I received from my great acting coach Larry Hovis.  Rest in Peace Mr. Hovis and thank you for teaching me how to be an actor.

ATX Gossip can’t wait to track the career of Danny Trevino in 2014.
