Sherri Shepherd at the Atlanta Film Festival.

On the closing night of the Atlanta Film Festival, ATXgossip caught up with the stars of Jean of the Joneses, which first premiered at SXSW. Walking the red carpet were Sherri Shepherd, Taylour Paige, Erica Ash and Director Stella Meghie.

Erica Ash.

We asked Meghie what it had been like premiering at SXSW. Since it was her first visit to that beast of a festival, she told us it was great and she loved taking in the whole experience.

Earlier that evening we spoke with the director of Morris From America (the fest’s official closing film), about his experience in Austin. Chad Hartigan told us he spent most of the time drunk. That sounds about right. Of course, the pressure was a bit less for him as he had already premiered at Sundance.

But who we spent the most time speaking with was Taylour Paige. The star of Hit the Floor makes her big screen debut in the film, however, it was her red carpet attire we chatted about. I mean, is this not the best red carpet outfit ever?

Here’s what she had to say about the ensemble and the funny man that inspired it.

In regards to Hit the Floor, she mentioned that the VH1 series has not yet been renewed for another season, but the cast will be back on the small screen in May for a special that puts an end to the #WhoShotJelena debate and give us a front row seat to Ahsha and Derek’s wedding.
