I hate to do this to you. I really do. Because if you are like me, you love the wizarding world of Harry Potter. And while it’s great to see it alive and well with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, this gang will not cast the same spell on you as Harry and company. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Based on the Hogwarts textbook and starring Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, I really wanted to like the film. However, the story is weak and the character development is poor (though supporting roles Jacob Kowalski and Queenie are played delightfully by Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol).

According to reports, this project was treated as a single movie during production, but there will be four more films in this franchise. In that case, better luck next time, Warner Brothers.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is in theaters now.

As the poster promises, it’s more fantastic in IMAX so see it that way and let me know if you have a more magical experience.
