We thought Rick Perry would be the most controversial thing to hit the Dancing with the Stars stage on tonight’s premiere.
Clearly, we thought wrong.
As Carrie Ann Inaba was giving Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte her critique of his performance, an audience member appeared to rush the stage.
Cameras did not show the live action and the hosts were very vague about what went down when the show returned from commercial though they did thank the security team for their support.
Whether Lochte and partner Cheryl Burke were in actual danger is yet to be determined.
What is definite is that Dancing with the Stars will be the focus of all the morning talk show headlines.
